computer-aj_aj_ashton_01That’s my first post on this blog and I’m rather excited! Before I get into bigger details I want to make sure you have got a great deal on your new computer. It really depends on what you are going to use your computer for, if it is only business, internet access, then almost any of the current configuration can supply your needs.

Now if you want to play games and use software which demands a high use of memory, then you would be better by getting a configuration which is a bit more robust, the down side of choosing really fast computers, is because they consumes a higher number of energy, and also they require a better refrigeration system since they tend to overheat.

But let’s say you are into computer just to be in touch with your family and friends, use Instant Messenger services, send and receive emails, maybe play a few of the Windows games like FreeCell and Chess. Then a laptop would be of great use for you, it is mobile, you can take to anywhere you want to go and the current models also rather fast. And most of the laptops sold nowadays come with Wi-Fi embedded, so you don’t have to stay still if you don’t want to.

I’ve got a Dell Inspiron 1525 with 120 GB of disk space and 2gb of memory, and I can even use Photoshop and Dreamweaver, well, it is not faster as my other computer but I can live with it without a problem. And this laptop which I said I’ve got is already obsolete, there are new models and faster ones, so as you can see you can’t keep up with technology!

Now if you are a regular gamer or want to use your computer to play the latest games, then you must be ready to pay big bucks in a computer hardware and also your energy bill. AlienWare has a bunch of gamer computers but I would rather buy the hardware and build it myself, you can get to know the reason why in my About Me page, but long story short, I paid a really high value for a computer and it was not worth the price.
