Best Antivirus Software For Windows In 2009

NOD32

Choosing the best antivirus software for windows must be a hard task for beginners, since they don’t know which one to choose due to their lack of knowledge in computers. In this post I’m going to share my experience with 5 antivirus I have used, and why I stuck with a paid one.

First antivirus I used was AVG, it was free and apparently everybody was talking about it as the best one ever. So it became paid a few years ago, there is still a free version available, but it’s better to stay away from it since it doesn’t offer a good protection as the paid one does, all it does is to protect your computer from viruses and I have my doubts if it protects your computer really well, since it is free and to have “full protection” you have to buy it.

Then I begun to use Avast, all I can say it is really annoying and detects even what is not viruses, so I uninstalled it a few days after I install it… The computers on my college use this anti-virus and every pen drive we put into the USB port Avast says it has a virus.

Kaspersky, one of the best I have ever used, but it is paid and warns about everything.

NOD32, that’s the one I stuck with since it doesn’t seem to slow down the computer and doesn’t have those annoying pop ups every time it detects a threat, it works on the background and I must do my work and chill out because I know it is removing any malicious files that it does detect.

Norton Antivirus, once upon a time norton antivirus software was the best antivirus available, because there were no competition, now I don’t install norton antivirus here, but people may still like it, those who got a computer in 2000.

Panda Internet Security 2009
It’s evolving pretty fast and it’s without a doubt one option to consider, but it is paid too.

  1. The top antivirus software programs cost as little as 2 months internet connection. They all include constant and unlimited automatic updates that keep your system safe and clean. If you can afford $1500+ on a computer, $300+/year on internet connections, you can definitely afford another $50 once to make it safe (and prevent it from being used to spread viruses and Trojan horses behind your back).
